Where everyday Jews become thriving ovdei Hashem

Inheriting a priceless mesorah

In 2001, Rabbi Levi Lebovits, then a yeshiva student, headed to Eretz Yisrael to study like many of his contemporaries. A conscientious student who carefully followed the guidance of his rebbeim, he was bothered by the gap between the aspirations he had adopted – and his knowledge of how to actually achieve them.

Then a friend brought him to a small-group vaad with contemporary Ba’al mussar Rav Reuven Leuchter shlit”a. Rav Leuchter, a close talmid of Rav Shlomo Wolbe ztz”l, guided Rabbi Lebovits into a world where piercing mussar insights brought avodas Hashem to life, invigorating, uplifting and empowering him in ways he had never encountered before.

Close to 3 decades later, Rabbi Lebovits remains a close student of Rav Leuchter shlit”a and the rarefied mussar mesorah he teaches.

Uniquely enagaging
A focus on smooth, enjoyable delivery means every Avodah Alive offering is attractive – and effective
Warmly positive

Haskamos and praise for our work

There is nothing more central to the Jewish nation than Emuna, and the time we are building our Emuna is by sitting on the Seder night and telling the story of the Hagodo. But the story has to be relevant to us.

My good friend Harav Levi Lebovits has a special gift, to make things relevant to people of our generation. I am very impressed with his new publication, and everyone who wants to experience כאילו הוא יצא ממצרים will find in this book a way to do this.

With much appreciation for the big tribute to Klal Yisrael,
Reuven Leuchter

Roshei Yeshiva, Yeshiva Toras Chaim of Denver

We would like to commend Rabbi Lebovits on his major accomplishment. In this brief kuntres, he has created a practical approach to helping yidden across the spectrum absorb the deeper message of the Seder and translate it into concrete growth. Learning this sefer is certain to elevate one's Seder and one's general avodas Hashem.

Rav Erlanger, shlita

Mashgiach, Mir Yeshiva of Brooklyn

Your sefer You and Your Mission is a masterpiece and it perfectly fits its promise to guide us through the Haggadah.
The content and style is very appealing and I read it breathlessly from the beginning until the end. You succeeded to capture the fresh spirit of our Harav Leuchter and you presented it in a more pleasant way.

I think I was fulfilling the minhag of the Rema to read the Haggadah by reading your guide. I received much from it and I am thankful to you.
I wish you continued Hatzlach.

Thank you for your wonderful emails. They are all impactful, but this one really resonated with me. I found myself being a lot more accommodating to the needs and wants of others, especially children, in situations I previously would not have thought to do so. Tizku L'mitzvos!

Rabbi Lebovits has the ability to take things that we all know about and want and make them practical, things that we can attain.

“Following your insightful steps and non-judgemental commentary has been life-changing.”

After so many years of trying to have meaningful sedarim, this Haggadah guide changes everything. It will profoundly influence your seder and life. This is what Klal Yisroel needs.

I really love it. So different and refreshing. Even more impressive is the way you have such a grasp on the way people feel and think. Every idea laid out really resonated with the core that I wasn't even aware existed. The structure of the questions and the answers perfectly on target to walk me through what's really happening inside.

This has been a real paradigm shift. I feel like I'm living a fuller, richer life. Thank you.

“I learned it’s possible for Torah growth to feel good.”

I can see my life as a living breathing sugiya of the Torah. I feel a sense that the Torah is a wisdom that is personal to me and is speaking to me in my life. Torah became real to me.

Rabbi Levi Lebovits is an extraordinary teacher who occupies a unique niche in Jewish education.  He presents transformational Judaism, which means that his students are challenged to come away with ideas that they can implement in their daily lives, rather than theoretical concepts.  And, perhaps most importantly, he creates a safe zone where people can share what they are dealing with.
